Hi, I’m Emma.
Welcome to Making it Emma — a place for creating a home and life that feels calm, cozy, and purposeful, even when life is anything but perfect.
I’m a busy mom and wife figuring out how to balance work, family, homemaking, and all the little things that fill our days. Like many of you, I’m learning that creating a peaceful home isn’t about having everything perfectly organized or having hours of free time. It’s about finding simple ways to make everyday life feel a little more manageable, meaningful, and enjoyable.
That’s what Making it Emma is all about.
Thanks for being here and making it emma with me.

Creating a Home That Feels Good
I believe home is about more than how a space looks. It’s how it feels when you walk through the door.
Here, I share simple homemaking routines, cozy home ideas, DIY projects, hosting inspiration, and practical ways to make your home work better for your everyday life.
You’ll find ideas for making your space feel warm and welcoming, creating routines that actually fit into a busy schedule, and finding small ways to be more intentional with the way you spend your time at home.

Simple, Not Perfect
I’m not here to tell you that you need a perfectly clean house, a picture-perfect routine, or a completely organized life.
I’m much more interested in the little things that make a home feel lived-in, loved, and peaceful.
Sometimes that means finally tackling a home project that’s been on the list for months. Sometimes it’s finding a better way to organize the kitchen. Sometimes it’s setting the table for a simple dinner at home or creating a five-minute evening routine that makes tomorrow feel a little easier.
For me, purposeful living is found in those everyday moments.

A Little Inspiration for Your Everyday
Whether you’re looking for homemaking ideas, tackling a DIY renovation, preparing to host friends and family, or simply trying to make your everyday routines feel a little calmer, I hope you’ll find something here that makes life at home easier—and maybe a little more beautiful, too.
You don’t need to do more.
You just need to find what works for your home, your family, and your life.
